Summer learning journey - Malaysia

For my first Activity, I chose Malaysia. There are 2 reasons why I chose Malaysia, the first reason is Malaysia is part of my culture and the second reason is that It's one of my favourite because there are so many fun places to go.

  1. Hi Htet htet! Welcome to the summer learning journey for 2016-2017. It's wonderful that you were able to choose a country that you have a personal connection with. That is really special! I actually had the chance to go to Kuala Lumpur a few years ago with my son (Aronui) and his dad. We had a great time visiting friends in Bandar Sunway. Have you spent any time in Kuala Lumpur? I'm really looking forward to blogging with you and to learning more about Malaysia as we go!

    Keep up the great work:)

  2. Selamat pagi Htet htet,
My name is Tania and I am a Manaiakalani Outreach Facilitator - I work in lots of different schools with teachers and learners who, like you, are using chromebooks for their learning and blogs to share their learning. I have been emailing with Rachel and she has told me all about The Summer Learning Journey, it's great to see that you have made a start by choosing your country. Malaysia sounds perfect if it is part of your culture. Have you been to Malaysia before? Why is it part of your culture? Do your grandparents or parents come from Malaysia? I have only been to Malaysia for a day! I was visiting my family in Singapore and we crossed the border for a day to go shopping in Malaysia. I would like to learn more so look forward to following your blogposts. Keep up the great work learning and sharing.
    Selamat tinggal

  4. Selamat pagi Htet htet!

It is great to see you've chosen Malaysia! I think you might be the first student to choose that so far! I can't wait to read more about it!

My name is Mark and I'm a teacher working for the Summer Learning Journey with Rachel.

I can see you are new to English - I used to be an English teacher in South Korea and Vietnam - so I'd love to see what you can do! I'm sure you are better than you think!

    Have a lovely holiday!
